Template:Al Jazeera Creative Commons Repository
Al Jazeera Creative Commons Repository (see archive through April 3, 2013 when the page last existed). "... footage is released under the ‘Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution’ license which allows for commercial and non-commercial use. This means that news outlets, filmmakers and bloggers will be able to easily share, remix, subtitle or reuse our footage." Use {{Cc-by-3.0}} as the license tag. See Category:Commons resources for help, resources, and tools for converting videos, capturing video stills, and more. Upload at Special:Upload by picking "Attribution 3.0" in the Creative Commons section of the license selector menu on the form. Note that the Video Descriptions, just as the other parts of this particular Al Jazeera subdomain (cc.aljazeera.net), can not be used (except as quotes), because only the video footage is CC-BY. Videos and stills on the Commons with source pages that start with cc.aljazeera.net come from that Creative Commons Repository. Search Archive.org using the source URL that starts with cc.aljazeera.net in order to find the archived source page. Use that archive link as source in the file description. Also, add {{Al Jazeera}} to the file description. Here are examples. See: Category:Al Jazeera videos. See also: Flickr: Al Jazeera English's Photostream. The images there are licensed under Creative Commons — Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0. Use {{Cc-by-sa-2.0}} as the license tag. For any Flickr image click on the arrow for "download this photo" and then "view all sizes". This will take you to the license info.
